Pocket Door Frames
Currently the leading manufacturers of windows produce their Pocket Door frames in two main materials: wood or galvanized steel.
ICIF produces Pocket frames for windows and doors adopting a mixed system (WOOD with ALUMINUM flap)
This system, in addition to ensuring the thermal cutting, allows to avoid the "backlining" externally (normally required in the presence of wood flap) that, due to its reduced section, has a shorter duration compared to the window. With the Pocket Door frames in wood or mixed, given the very low thermal conductivity of this material, there is no risk of mold.
ICIF produces Pocket frames for monoblock frame with roller using fully galvanized ALUMINIUM. The exclusive use of the metal is due to the need to combine all the accessories for the operation of the roller. The Pocket frames in galvanized Aluminium possess very high thermal conductivity.
Generally the Pocket frames always have the flap terminal in contact with the outside temperature and in the case of the roller even with a considerable surface. In the winter months the very low temperatures outside are transmitted through the sheet up to the limit of the internal counter that is in contact with the plaster, which, therefore, in the immediate vicinity, it cools. In the case of saturation relative humidity in the indoor environment, especially common in kitchens and bathrooms, cold spots plaster can cause condensation deposit with the subsequent formation of mold.
It is not uncommon in fact noted in the homes of blackening lines on the perimeter of doors and windows.
